As an indoor tree, it can be pruned to maintain size but can easily reach 6–10 feet tall.

Features large, elegant, oval-shaped leaves with a soft, velvety texture and a matte finish. The foliage is a soft medium green with striking, pale green or creamy-white veins, growing from a smooth, light-colored trunk.

Flowering Period & Fruit

Flowering is very rare indoors. Note: The milky sap can be a skin irritant and is a source of latex allergens. This plant is toxic to pets and not recommended for pet owners.

Sun Tolerance

Prefers plenty of bright, indirect light. A spot near a sunny window is ideal, but protect it from harsh, direct afternoon sun.

Maintenance

Easy to Moderate. A relatively forgiving Ficus. Allow the top 1-2 inches of soil to dry out between waterings, then water thoroughly. It is less prone to leaf drop than other Ficus varieties.

Root System

A strong, fibrous root system that prefers a well-draining, chunky potting mix and is happy to be slightly pot-bound.
