The top canopy of leaves can spread to 2–3 feet wide, but the overall profile is very slim.

Evergreen

Features long, narrow, ribbon-like leaves that form spiky rosettes at the ends of slender, woody trunks. The deep green leaves are finely edged with a thin margin of deep red or burgundy.

Flowering is exceptionally rare indoors; this plant is grown for its unique, sculptural form.

Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain the best color on its red edges. It can tolerate lower light levels but may grow more slowly. Avoid direct sun.

Easy. An extremely durable and drought-tolerant plant perfect for beginners. Water thoroughly only when the top 50% of the soil has dried out. Using filtered water is beneficial to prevent brown leaf tips

A robust, fleshy root system that makes the plant very drought-tolerant. It prefers to be kept snug in its pot and requires a fast-draining potting mix.
