Croton 'Sunny Star'

Grows into a compact, bushy shrub, typically reaching 2–4 feet tall indoors.

Forms a full plant approximately 2–3 feet wide.

Excellent as a bright, colorful accent plant for a sunny spot on the floor or a sturdy table.

Evergreen

Features glossy, elliptical leaves in a deep, dark green, generously splattered with bright, sunny yellow spots. The speckles are often densest along the midrib and radiate outwards, creating a beautiful 'starry' pattern.

May produce small, inconspicuous flowers, but it is grown exclusively for its incredibly vibrant foliage.

Demands very bright light, including several hours of direct sun each day, to produce its signature yellow speckles. In lower light, the leaves will be mostly green.

Moderate to High. Crotons are known for dropping leaves when stressed by moving or drafts. They require high humidity and consistent watering. Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil is dry.

A fibrous root system that requires a rich, well-draining potting mix and is sensitive to both overwatering and severe underwatering.
