Calathea 'White Star'

Grows to an elegant, upright height of 2–3 feet.

Forms a full clump approximately 2 feet wide.

Best as a focal point plant on a stand or table, kept away from drafts and heating or cooling vents.

Evergreen

Features elegant, lance-shaped leaves with a deep green base, often flushed with a silvery-green sheen. The leaves are adorned with a sharp pattern of fine pinstripes in both white and pink. The undersides are a solid, rich burgundy.

Flowering is uncommon in home environments; this plant is grown for its spectacular, patterned leaves.

Requires bright, indirect light to maintain its bright variegation. Direct sunlight will burn the delicate leaves and cause the patterns to fade.

Moderate to High. A high-humidity environment is essential. It is imperative to use distilled, filtered, or rainwater to avoid leaf damage. Keep the soil consistently moist but never soggy.

A sensitive, fibrous root system growing from rhizomes. A well-draining, airy potting mix that also retains moisture is crucial for its health.
