Mature width
Forms a wide, dense clump that can reach 2 feet or more across.

Evergreen/Deciduous
Evergreen
Foliage
Features broad, glossy, bright green leaves. The entire leaf surface is covered in a mesmerizing, grid-like pattern of tiny, intersecting veins, creating a mosaic or 'network' effect. Unlike many other Calatheas, the undersides are a plain, pale green.
Flowering Period & Fruit
Grown for its unique foliage, it may occasionally produce small, whitish-green, cone-like flowers at the base of the plant.
Sun Tolerance
Prefers bright, indirect light. Direct sun can wash out the intricate pattern and scorch the leaves. It is more tolerant of lower light than more colorful Calatheas.
Maintenance
Easy to Moderate. While it appreciates high humidity, it is more forgiving of average household conditions than many of its relatives. For best results, water with filtered or distilled water.
Root System
A fibrous root system growing from rhizomes. It prefers a rich, well-aerated potting mix that is kept lightly and consistently moist.
