Evergreen

Features small, striking leaves in a deep chocolate to bronze-red color. Each leaf is decorated with bright chartreuse-green markings that look like a tiger's paw print. The leaf margins are lined with fine, white hairs, giving it the common name 'Eyelash Begonia'.

Produces sprays of delicate, airy, pale pink or white flowers on tall, thin stalks, typically in the late winter or spring.

Prefers bright, indirect light. An east-facing window or a spot set back from a brighter window is ideal. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.

Easy. Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry. The thick rhizome stores water, so it is important to avoid overwatering. Prefers moderate to high humidity.

A shallow, fibrous root system extends from a thick, surface-creeping rhizome. This structure requires a well-draining potting mix to prevent rot.
