Excellent as a small potted plant for a shelf or desk, and is a very popular choice for enclosed terrariums.

Foliage

Features stunning, velvety, dark olive-green leaves with a slightly fuzzy texture. The defining characteristic is a single, sharp, bright chartreuse-green stripe running down the center of each leaf. The undersides are a contrasting rich mahogany-red.

Produces delicate white, sometimes pink-tinged, flowers intermittently throughout the year. The plant is primarily grown for its incredible foliage.

Sun Tolerance

Prefers medium to bright, indirect light. Protect from direct sunlight, which can burn the leaves and fade the dramatic coloration.

Easy to Moderate. Thrives in high humidity, making it an excellent terrarium plant. Water when the top inch of soil is dry, and provide excellent drainage.
